Tamra has worked with children for over 18 years in child care and then as a Speech Pathologist for the past 15 years. Tamra graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and also holds a Bachelor of Business and a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Science in Child Development. Tamra is passionate about early intervention for children with communication difficulties and has a particular interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder and literacy intervention. Tamra is also qualified to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder. In addition, Tamra has been working with adults in neurological rehabilitation (including swallowing disorders) since 2005. She has developed her skills while working in hospitals and schools as well as in her clinic in Littlehampton. Tamra now works in the clinic-based setting as well as in schools, nursing homes and private homes.
Melanie joined Communicate SLLI in July 2023 having previous worked for the Department for Education. Prior to completing her Master of Speech Pathology in 2018, she studied a Bachelor of Journalism graduating with five Dean’s Awards for Academic Excellence. Melanie has particular interest in providing evidence-based speech sound disorder interventions for preschool and primary school aged children. She has a strong knowledge and understanding of language disorders (including those presenting in children from EAL/D backgrounds) and how they can relate to literacy difficulties – she enjoys supporting students to see positive growth in these areas. Melanie aims for neuro-affirming practises and has lived experience of parenting neurodivergent children including a teenager, and as such strives for a close, collaborative therapist-caregiver relationship with the families she works with. Melanie has also been involved with advocacy for the speech pathology profession, appointed to the SA Branch Executive of Speech Pathology Australia as Editor from 2019 to 2023.
Georgia is a compassionate and energetic speech pathologist with a specific interest in working with children and their families to achieve speech, language and literacy goals. She has experience working with young children aged 0-5, school-aged children in clinic-based and school settings, and adults in a rehabilitative context. Georgia aims to create a positive experience for children and their families, and enjoys facilitating this by building strong therapeutic relationships with parents and school staff.
Claudia is a passionate speech pathologist with Keen interest in paediatric speech pathology. She has had clinical experience working in a range of settings including clinic, hospital, childcare and schools. Claudia’s interests are in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder, early language intervention and speech sound disorders.She is motivated to help children achieve their communication goals by taking a client-centred approach and working alongside their families to maximize therapy outcomes.
Karina is an empathetic and compassionate speech pathologist driven by supporting children and their families. Karina has experience working with children in a variety of settings including early intervention, schooling and clinic. Karina takes pride in her ability to quickly build rapport with children by creating a fun learning environment. She is passionate in all areas of communication, with a strong interest in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, literacy and early language intervention.
Most of all, Karina loves helping children develop their confidence and reach their full potential.
Karina is an enthusiastic and passionate speech pathologist who supports clients from three years of age to adolescents. She has experience working with children with communication difficulties, speech sound disorders and social and pragmatic skills challenges. Karina has also worked as a disability support worker and has gained skills to support children and adults with various disabilities. She has a particular passion for working with clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, taking a holistic and neuroaffirmative approach to support the client and their family. Karina enjoys working collaboratively with caregivers and teachers, and has a close working relationship with them. Karina will be providing speech pathology services via Telepractice in 2024 and is excited to help clients achieve their communication goals.
Katie is a friendly and dedicated speech pathologist who is passionate about working with children of all ages and their families. She has experience working in early intervention, schools and clinic settings. Katie has a strong interest in supporting children with speech, language or literacy goals, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Katie uses her clients’ individual strengths and interests to provide quality care and works collaboratively with families and school staff to facilitate positive outcomes.
Tory is a bubbly and enthusiastic allied health assistant who is currently in her third year of studying speech pathology at the University of South Australia. She has a passion for working with children of all ages, especially in the school environment. Tory works with other speech pathologists to provide additional support and aims to create a positive atmosphere for clients and families to help achieve their goals.
Karen is a vibrant, empathetic, and compassionate woman who has two adult daughters and four grandchildren. As a qualified allied health assistant, she enjoys working with young children, teenagers and adults. Karen enjoys assisting in the clinic environment as the receptionist as well as working as an allied health assistant with clients in their homes.
Erica graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2004. Since then she has worked in a variety of hospital and community settings in Adelaide, regional South Australia and the United Kingdom. She has experience working with adult dysphagia, communication disorders in both children and adults, and has a particular interest in adult rehabilitation. Erica took some time away from speech pathology to raise her young family and has now returned to offer her services as a speech pathology assistant. Erica is passionate about providing a positive and practical approach to intervention, to help clients achieve their goals.
Jenna is a committed speech pathology student, enjoying working as an allied health assistant whilst she completes her studies. She has a keen interest in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, people with neurological conditions and school-age intervention.
Kaitlyn is a passionate and eager speech pathology student studying the third year of her bachelors degree. Kaitlyn is currently working as an Allied Health Assistant while completing her studies. She has a particular passion for paediatric intervention.
Josie is an enthusiastic speech pathology student with a strong passion for supporting individuals in their communication journey. She is enjoying gaining hands-on experience working as an allied health assistant and is particularly interested in speech sound disorders. Josie is passionate about helping individuals develop their communication skills and is keen to continue growing her clinical expertise.
